Vanity Fair has disclosed the list of Hollywood’s Top Earners in 2010. And no guesses here. James Cameroon, whose baby is the renowned Hollywood movie Avatar, leads the pack of Hollywood’s Top Earners in 2010. But the surprise element is that in the list of 40, only 6 women have established their presence.
The 56-year-old Cameron grabbed the numero uno position in 2010 with earnings of about $257 million, with a huge portion of this amount received from the profit gained by his sci-fi blockbuster movie.
Hollywood ‘Pirate’ and heartthrob, the 47 year old, Johnny Depp managed to come second with his $100 million earnings, which he gained from the success of “The Tourist” and “Alice in Wonderland”. The advance amount which he received for his 2011 release “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides”, has also contribute to his second ‘rank’.
Steven Spielberg, a director of immense talent, is the third with estimated earnings of $80 million, followed by the renowned and gifted Christopher Nolan, a writer, director as well as producer at the fourth place. Nolan grabbed the fourth position with his $71. 5 million earnings.
Talking about the 6 actresses, who managed to make it to the top 40 of Hollywood’s Top Earners in 2010, Kirsten Stewart, 20, ranks the first among them at number 13 among the top 40. She took home about $28.5 million earnings from the profit gained from the Twilight series. Her co-stars, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are also part of this Vanity fair list and has been ranked at position numbers 15 and 9 respectively. The 18-year-old Lautner, who enacted Jacob in the Twilight series, is the youngest earner in this list.
Jennifer Aniston, 42, grabbed the 18th position and is the second top female on the list. Her earnings have been calculated to be somewhere around $24.5 million. She is followed by her arch-rival, Angelina Jolie, at position number 21 and earnings of $1 million.
The other women who have made it to the top 40 of Hollywood’s Top Earners in 2010 include Sandra Bullock, Katherine Heigl and Reese Witherspoon at positions 22, 33 and 36 respectively.
